TRINITY CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL BOARD

The Board is established by the parish priest and principal to act as an advisory group to the parish priest and principal on matters concerning the operation of the school.

 

The School Board has as its central purpose the realisation of the vision of the school. In realising this vision, the School Board aims to:

  • Act as a forum for discussion on matters concerning education in the school
  • Support the provision of Catholic education in the parish by providing a link between the parish priest, parents and staff of the school
  • Promote the role of the community in the life of the school

 

THE SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS OF THE BOARD WILL INCLUDE:

  • Maintaining the Catholic ethos of the school
  • Supporting the Religious Education programmes
  • Promoting the life of the parish within the school community
  • Assisting with policy development and review
  • Ratification of yearly curriculum
  • Supporting the school objectives
  • Supporting the school in its implementation of the Mater Plan, Maintenance and Related Equipment
  • Approving budget planning and finance-related matters
  • Contributing to the selection process of the school principal
  • Local promotion of the school
  • Assisting in the preparation of Board reports to the school community
